On Sunday 12 August, Alnwick's Northumberland Hall will be alive and resound to music, song, dance, along with the spoken word for a programme of free entertainment with a strong regional flavour and Northumbrian focus.
This is in contrast with the previous eight days of entertainment with an international flavour during the 43rd Alnwick International Music Festival.
Northumberland Hall will be transformed between 10.30am and 4pm with staging and seating for around 200 people. Local professionals, amateur artistes, community groups, bands, choirs and dancers will deliver a range of performances promoting Northumbrian culture in its traditional form and with a contemporary twist.
The scene will be set against a background of colourful stalls selling local foods and crafts. Also, on offer on the day will be street food including traditional Northumbrian recipes such as Singing Hinnies, Pan Hagerty and Alnwick Stew. With teas, coffees and a range of snacks available, the event promises to be a fantastic day out for all the family.
