Hallowe'en!


Fangtastic fun-fuelled Hallowe'en celebrations!  

What's on Where:

24th Oct-4th Nov:  Kids Quiz at Etal Castle - free with normal admission charge - prizes!  

28th-31st:  Carved Pumpkin Competition at Lavender Tearooms - take your carved or decorated pumpkin to Etal Shop and Tearooms for a chance to win a prize.  Pumpkins will be on display throughout.

From 29th:  The Famous Scarycrow Trail!  Follow the trail around the villages.

29th (evening): Things that go BUMP in the Mill! An early evening story session, refreshments provided.

29th - 31st: Beastly Baking at Heatherslaw Cornmill from  11.30am-2.30pm.  Admission charge applies.  Children's activity - making pizzas (£1.00 per pizza, proceeds to Cash 4 Kids).  Pre-booking recommended but not essential.

30th & 31st Oct, 1st Nov: Creepy Carriage Rides Hay Farm Heavy Horse Centre - from 11.30am daily - no booking necessary. (Admission charge). Also on the evening of 31st:  Zombie Carriage Rides - pre-booking essential!

31st (11am-3pm): Indoor pop-up market with the St Abb's Traders.  Lots of lovely goodies to browse and buy in Etal Village Hall

31st: Bat Hunt on Heatherslaw Light Railway - admission charge applies; donations for bat hunt - proceeds to Cash 4 Kids

PLUS:  Hallowe'en food, treats for kids, staff in Hallowe'en costume, hallowe'en decorations at different venues including Lavender Tearooms, Heatherslaw Gift Shop, Ford Village Shop, Handmade at Heatherslaw.  Come and explore - if you dare!
