Great Day at the Northumberland County Show
With over 23,000 visitors in attending the annual Northumberland County Show every year, it's definitely the place to be in Northumberland this Bank Holiday! There's plenty to do for the whole family, including cattle and small animal shows, local craft and produce, soft play, climbing walls and tractors.
Northumberland County Council’s Great Northumberland marquee will give visitors the chance to try Northumbrian delicacies from Produced in Northumberland producers, as well as having a go at an Active Northumberland Zumba class.
Children will be able to meet Peter Rabbit in person, shake his paw and enjoy stories and activities in the storytelling tent within the marquee. Peter will be appearing on the hour throughout the day from 10am-3pm with stories at quarter past each hour.
The marquee will also promote Great Northumberland 2018 - an exciting eight-week summer programme of events which celebrate the arts and culture, heritage and innovation in the county.
Visitors to the County Show, can enter a special Great Northumberland prize draw and be in with a chance of winning a 1 night, dinner, bed & breakfast stay at Matfen Hall, a family pass to Whitehouse Farm or a Produced in Northumberland hamper.
There’ll also be a chance to “Name a Gritter” with one of the council’s new fleet of gritters on display.
