HEXHAM BOOK FESTIVAL
An annual festival that takes place in and around Hexham each April and May, showcasing literature and poetry at a dynamic and varied Festival.
A former colliery and now museum and visitor attraction. The site is recognised as a Scheduled Ancient Monument and it is the best surviving example of a late 19th/early 20th century colliery in the North East tradition.
Bamburgh Castle thrills, enthralls and captivates thousands of visitors from across the globe with its history, dramatic views and treasure-trove collection of unique pieces which tell the story of Bamburgh’s many reincarnations over the centuries.

Visual Arts in Rural Communities
Based at Highgreen, Tarset, Northumberland, VARC funds and manages an on-going programme of twelve-month residencies for visual artists and projects with special schools.
THE NORTHERN POETRY LIBRARY
The Northern Poetry Library, located in The Chantry in Morpeth, Northumberland, is the largest collection of post-World War II poetry in England outside London.
ALLENHEADS CONTEMPORARY ARTS
ACA design and deliver innovative projects that often fall across diverse specialist subjects, working with experts from Universities and commercial industries.
SEATON DELAVAL HALL
A baroque house, designed by John Vanbrugh in 1718, with a 20th century garden. The 1947 garden, by James Russell, is finely made with a topiary parterre, pond and fountain.
