D-Day 80

On Thursday 6 June the community gathered for a fantastic event organised by the County Council. Families enjoyed live music from the era, local performers, vintage vehicles, stalls and the chance to explore Blyth Battery. The day culminated in a special service of remembrance and a beacon lighting led by the Lord Lieutenant of Northumberland.

Local Heroes

Residents who make a real difference to communities in Northumberland have been honoured at a special ceremony.
