Cramlington’s very own royal throne has taken residence in Manor Walks Shopping Centre, offering passers-by the opportunity to grab a selfie marking the upcoming coronation of King Charles III. Cramlington Town Council sourced a grant from Northumberland’s Coronation Community Fund and then asked The Set Guise to create the seat which bears an uncanny resemblance to the Coronation Chair, built in 1296, which will be used in Saturday’s historic ceremony. Bringing the throne up-todate, there is a nearby collection of props including crowns, robes, masks and even a sceptre, so members of the public can take selfies with their friends and families. After the Coronation, the throne will be lent to a local children’s organisations to use as a story chair.”

Our school were successful in receiving a grant from the Northumberland Coronation Community Fund so we went to town on decorations and party cake - thank you!#NlandCoro It was lovely to see our school grounds full once again with happy families and friends, including our pre-school children.
