Cramlington’s very own royal throne has taken residence in Manor Walks Shopping Centre, offering passers-by the opportunity to grab a selfie marking the upcoming coronation of King Charles III. Cramlington Town Council sourced a grant from Northumberland’s Coronation Community Fund and then asked The Set Guise to create the seat which bears an uncanny resemblance to the Coronation Chair, built in 1296, which will be used in Saturday’s historic ceremony. Bringing the throne up-todate, there is a nearby collection of props including crowns, robes, masks and even a sceptre, so members of the public can take selfies with their friends and families. After the Coronation, the throne will be lent to a local children’s organisations to use as a story chair.”

Bunting made by children at Holy Trinity School for the Coronation and put up in Coronation Park in Berwick.

Our school were successful in receiving a grant from the Northumberland Coronation Community Fund so we went to town on decorations and party cake - thank you!#NlandCoro It was lovely to see our school grounds full once again with happy families and friends, including our pre-school children. We've shared picnics, games, crafts and challenges and , of course, cake. Bellingham Primary School.

Tritlington First School had an amazing day celebrating the Coronation of King Charles III. The children enjoyed our forest school theme and made flags, crowns and decorations to learn more about the King and the royal family. We had a wonderful celebratory lunch in the form of a street party celebration and the children were delighted to choose from a buffet style lunch. It was wonderful to share our celebrations in the sunshine with parents in the afternoon. We really enjoyed the Morwick Ice Cream, strawberries and cakes! What a wonderful memorable experience for our children, parents, grandparents and staff to remember.

We hosted Northumberland District Cadet Voice at TS Tenacity at Ashington sea Cadets. We created a coronation party to celebrate the Kings Coronation. We had nearly 50 cadets who enjoyed quizzes, bingo, a disco and a BBQ. Best memory- everyone watching the coronation and shouting God Save The King waving their plays and having fun.
