Blyth is a town with a rich history, a strong sense of community, and an exciting future. Blyth Celebrates is all about bringing people together to celebrate everything that makes our town special. With a year of exciting events and activities, this programme will showcase our creativity, heritage, and the exciting changes happening in Blyth.
How we got here
Blyth Celebrates is part of Energising Blyth - a regeneration programme designed to renew, grow, and connect our town.
Creativity is at the heart of this transformation, helping to reimagine public spaces, bring people together, and spark pride in Blyth.

Shaped by local artists, creatives, and the community, the programme has already delivered a range of inspiring activity—from artist-led workshops, photography and film projects to public art and The Project Space, a temporary creative hub in the town centre.

The journey so far

​2021: Developed public art plans, colour schemes, and signage ideas

2022: Launched creative pilots, The Pride of Place Project, and a community space

2023: Created a long-term plan for public art and brought more creative spaces to life in the town.
