Light Up the Night: Lantern Parade

Headway Arts is thrilled to be working with Newsham Primary, Wise Academies and members of the Blyth Culture Network to create 100 beautiful lanterns – each one carrying the hopes, dreams and energy of the local community. Together, these lanterns will light the way towards a brighter future for everyone in the town.

Leading the lantern procession will be two dazzling illuminated figures - The Sun & Sky Spirit and The Wind & Wave Sprite. Designed by Blyth-based artist and Headway Arts Creative Director, Alison Walton-Robson, these figures are inspired by Blyth’s proud position as a world leader in renewable energy and the town’s unbreakable community spirit.
